I
currently use the SKF LGHQ 3 high temperature bearing
grease for lubricating applications operating under
high temperature. Recently, I heard about the new
SKF standard high temperature, high performance
polyurea bearing grease LGHP 2. Can I replace the
SKF LGHQ 3 grease with the new SKF LGHP 2 high performance
polyurea grease?
SKF
mentions in its documentations that the SKF LGHP
2 bearing grease can be used to rationalise the
number of different greases used. How is that possible
since normally it is not recommend to mix polyurea
type greases with any other metallic soap based
grease such as the SKF LGMT 2, LGMT 3, etc.?
In
SKF publications it is stated that EP additives
are aggressive when used in polyamide "plastic"
cages, does that mean that I cannot use SKF LGEP
2 or LGWA 2 bearing greases (which also contain
EP additives) to lubricate bearings with polyamide
cages?
